Understanding Tire Sizes: What the Numbers on Your Tires Mean- LINGLONG TIRE

When it comes to buying new tires, one of the first things you’ll encounter is a series of numbers and letters printed on the tire’s sidewall—something like 205/55R16 . To most people, this might look like a confusing code, but it actually provides essential information about the tire's size, type, and performance capabilities. In this blog, we’ll break down what these numbers mean and how to choose the right tire size for your vehicle. A 16-inch tire won’t fit on a 17-inch rim. 55 – Aspect Ratio (as a percentage) -:  This is the height of the tire’s sidewall as a percentage of the width. In this case, 55% of 205mm. A lower aspect ratio g...

The speed rating , represented by letters like H or V, tells you the maximum speed your tire can handle safely. Why it matters : Using the wrong rating can lead to blowouts or reduced control. Linglong Tires offer a wide range of load and speed-rated options, designed for both city and highway driving in Pakistan. 2. Radial vs. Bias Tires: What’s the Difference? Radial tires have layers running radially across the tire, offering flexibility and better fuel economy. Bias tires have diagonal layers, providing strength and durability in off-road conditions. Why it matters : Radial tires are ideal for daily driving, while bias tires suit heavy-duty or off-road use. Linglong Tires primarily use radial construction, perfect for modern vehicles and road safety. 3. What Causes Uneven Tire Wear and How to P...
